People outside the UAE can use this website for general information, but they should not travel to Dubai assuming they can receive abortion pills or a procedure. UAE residence, legal and facility requirements must be checked first.
What the residence rule means
The residence condition is one part of a wider eligibility process. It does not guarantee approval, and it is not the only requirement. UAE citizens

The 2024 resolution includes a valid UAE residence-permit condition of at least one year before the request, alongside the other legal and clinical requirements.
Tourists and short-term visitors

- Contact an authorised facility through verified details. Ask whether the facility is specifically authorised for abortion procedures and which regulator oversees it.
- Ask whether the residence rule applies. Explain visa or residence status accurately. Do not send passport copies or sensitive records until the facility and recipient are verified.
- Confirm the clinical assessment required. Pregnancy dates, location, symptoms, medical history and records may need review.
- Ask about the approval process. Find out what supporting documents, consent and committee review may apply to the legal ground.

- The official name, address and regulator of the facility.
- Whether the facility is authorised for abortion procedures.

- Which records are needed, why they are needed and how they will be protected.
- The proposed method, expected effects, alternatives, risks, follow-up and emergency route.
- An itemised estimate that separates consultation, tests, procedure or medication, facility and follow-up fees.
Claims that should make you pause
- “Guaranteed approval” or “100% result.”
- A promise that tourists can receive treatment without legal review.
- Cash-on-delivery prescription pills without a verified prescriber and pharmacy.
- A provider who will not name the doctor or facility.
- A request for passport, diagnosis, photographs or payment before identity and licensing can be verified.
- Advice to hide serious symptoms, avoid a hospital or misstate visa status.

Can a tourist buy abortion pills in Dubai?
Do not rely on that claim. Abortion medicines are not ordinary over-the-counter products, and UAE abortion care is legally regulated. The 2024 resolution also includes a one-year UAE residence-permit condition for non-citizen applicants.
Does having a UAE residence visa guarantee approval?

Can an online doctor approve a UAE abortion request?
An online discussion cannot replace the authorised UAE process. The responsible facility must confirm the assessment, legal ground, records and approvals required for the individual case.
